Name Design and pattern

The students wrote their name then turned the letters into "bubble" letters. They then broke the background up into many different pieces. In each shape in the background they had to come up with a different design or pattern to create.

Kandinsky

We did a project where the students learned about abstract art and the artist Wassily Kandinsky. then I had the students make three different abstract squares, channeling Kandinsky.

Art Club Mural

My art club here at Indian Creek is made up of 20 fourth and fifth grade students. This year we created a mural where each student was given a 1"x1" part of a picture and they had to paint it on a 9"x9" piece of paper. I am super thrilled with how it turned out, we placed it in the schools learning lab for all to see!
